Anna is working in the realistic style and highly values traditional painting skills. She draws her inspiration from the great artists of the past and particularly from the Arts Nouveau period such as Manet, Degas, Whistler, Sargent. Also being Russian, she was brought up to admire the finest examples of Russian realistic  and impressionist art such as works by Shishkin, Repin, Levitan, Serov, Korovin.

She regularly paints locally, especially the river Thames, where  it loops around creating exciting views all along. With its colourful boats, many bridges, several magnificent parks Richmond is a dream place for an artist.

She is a member of several art societies and runs a classical drawing class. She accepts commissions for local views, portraits of people and pets and still life.
