The Art Agency's new gallery on Esher High Street opened in October 2011.

The Art Agency is run by Claygate and Cobham-based Emma Riley and Alison Ramsay. From April 2010 they hired different venues around the country to show their portfolio of contemporary artists.  Now they have made the decision to take a permanent space in Esher to promote the artists they represent.

Emma and Alison previously had successful careers, Emma at the Financial Times and Alison at Dennis Publishing.   Now they have started a business in a field that they are both passionate about and have experience of through working at and attending art fairs - and being art collectors themselves.

Up until 2011 they exhibited at their own artagency.co.uk exhibitions at The Landmark Arts Centre, Teddington, selected restaurants in Surrey and the Brighton and Palace Art Fairs. From 2011 they have been holding exhibitions at their gallery on Esher High Street.

We will only represent a limited number of artists to ensure that we can offer a unique and personal service to both the artist and the client.  All our artists work is also available to buy on our website, theartagency.co.uk.

Their portfolio of thirty artists include watercolours by Jake Winkle, the 2009 winner of the prestigious St Cuthbert’s Mill Award, figurative work by Paul Lemmon and Rachel Mortimer, abstract landscapes by Felicity Keefe, ceramicist Emma Clegg and more. Prices range from £30 - £4000.

Emma says ‘We like to show a good range of art at every price range so we feel we can cater for the small birthday gift or the more expensive piece for a special occasion’.

Alison adds ‘We also offer a TryART service where the client can try out the piece in their home before they purchase. It can be great to see that a painting really works in a space before committing’.

We also offer other targeted services such as framing, hanging, art finders, gift lists, corporate sales and commissions.
