Angela is an Artist based in New Zealand having moved from her home country, South Africa, in 2007. She works from her studio in the Bay of Plenty, on the east coast of New Zealand’s North Island.
Over the last 20years, through life’s highs and lows, she continues to load her brush not just with paint but all her current emotions. Happy, sad, joyful, mad - all are welcomed in the flow of creating evocative paintings. Vases filled with flowers, landscapes, animal portraits, whatever she feels like painting.
'They fill gaps on walls, engaging my collectors’ emotions, reflecting back at them their own experiences and / or desires.
My entire range of emotions has a place in my studio, they allow me to acknowledge how strongly I feel about things. In so doing, this energy which can be felt within my work may be as yet unexpressed within you, and thus be the very thing which draws you subconsciously to it.'
