Annie Rouse is a full-time artist with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art Painting from Central St. Martins. Based at Wimbledon Art Studios, she paints daily from her studio, creating work that captures the beauty of the domestic and the familiar. Inspired by home and garden life, her subjects often include crockery from the cupboards and flowers from the garden, celebrating everyday objects with a rich, painterly approach.
Working primarily in large-scale oil paintings, Annie combines her love of drawing with the viscosity of paint, creating pieces that are both expressive and deeply textured. Her work has been selected multiple times for The Royal Academy of Art Summer Exhibition in London, as well as exhibitions at the Mall Galleries. She has exhibited widely across the UK, as well as internationally in Amsterdam and Singapore, and her work has been featured in publications including The Sunday Times.
