My pieces are inspired by sound, dance & the human form. I am hugely influenced by the Op artists of the 50’s and 60’s, particularly Bridget Riley.

‘The eye can travel over the surface in a way parallel to the way it moves over nature. It should be caressed and soothed, experience frictions and ruptures, glide and drift’
Bridget Riley

My process is complex. I combine photography, drawing, photo compositing and 3D computer modelling. My artworks conclude as series of very hi-res digital images that are either output as films for screen-printing to paper or printed direct to metal. I have particularly enjoyed creating my brushed aluminium pieces. Due to their reflective nature, their mood can change depending on time of day. The light changes as the viewer passes by, adding a bit of theatre.

I trained and still work in moving image, as a graphic designer and director. As such, I am further influenced by animation, movement and music. My filmic influences include graphic designer Saul Bass, who created some of the coolest title sequences from the 50’s through to the 90s.
