Kasia Clarke (pron. Kah-sha)
Kasia’s work depicts emotional “places” loosely based upon a landscape concept. But these landscapes are not depictions of specific geographical areas - they are imaginary, intuitive, soulful expressions of emotion painted in an expressive and emotive manner.
Through intuitive mark-making and layering in paint and mixed media, she creates an interplay of letting go and regaining control between instinct and analysis. Her paintings are never planned. Instead, I make layer upon layer of call and response decisions until a painting starts to emerge, which resonates with her. That’s when the final simplification happens, the essence of the painting reveals itself and becomes clear.
Creating large scale paintings which prompt the viewer to surrender to their visual experience and immerse themselves into the painting excites Kasia. She loves to hear a viewer’s interpretation of her work - the ambiguity in her paintings allows them to complete the creative process by bringing something of themselves into what they see.
Kasia lives in Surrey with her husband and three children. She enjoys playing the piano with a particular love for the music of Chopin and many of her pieces are named from the music playing while she was creating them.
Nadia Day
Nadia is an Impressionist artist based in Teddington. She paints views of nature and her bespoke offering is to include silhouettes of family members within a client's perfect view.
"I use a brisk technique of flat brushstrokes and pallet knife work, ensuring my paintings reflect the energy and beauty of nature at their core. I love painting a big British sky, this is always my starting point, building up the landscape in layers as the perspective gets closer. I always experiment with my application of paint, striving to create a new drama to each piece".
Nadia is one of our most popular artists. Our clients love her energetic portrayal of local scenes. Favourite spots include Richmond Hill and Bushey Park.
Nadia studied art at Kingston University and gained a BA in Drama & Theatre Arts from Birmingham University.
